About the role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Highways and Environment Division as an Adoptions Engineer in Cornwall Highways. The successful postholder will assist in the oversight and management of the design, approval, construction and adoption of new build infrastructure. Candidates will need to be based in Cornwall for this role.
You will have the day to day management of the adoptions process within a regional area for all new developments, ensuring that the new infrastructure meets the appropriate standards and all adoption agreements are managed efficiently and effectively
Requirements
About you
The following criteria are essential to this role:
- Relevant degree or equivalent substantial experience;
- Experience of highway design and/or maintenance, construction practices and techniques including sustainable drainage systems;
- Experience in the successful delivery of highway projects;
- Track record of working on own initiative and seeking pragmatic solutions to problems;
- Experience of partnership working, building relationships and enhancing the reputation of a service;
- A full valid driving licence.

Base: Hybrid (Home and Scorrier) - applicants will need to be based in Cornwall
